The UK’s medicines watchdog is recalling a batch of a tadalafil alternative
drug after fake tablets were discovered.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), in conjunction with Pfizer, is recalling packs of Lipitor 20mg tablets.

Only those bearing the batch number 004405K1 are affected.

A pharmaceutical company has announced plans to close its plant in Hampshire with the loss of 555 posts.

The Eli Lilly site in Basingstoke has 445 employees and 111 contractors.

Eli Lilly said about 100 people could be eligible for early retirement, some will be offered redeployment but about 300 workers will be made redundant.

News - Jobs axed as drugs factory closes

A pharmaceutical company has confirmed it will close its Hampshire manufacturing plant.
